The exhibition, proposed by the National Museum of Education, examines the intellectual training that the young Gustave Flaubert received at the Royal College in Rouen from 1832 to 1839. It looks in particular at the teaching provided in this type of establishment under the July Monarchy, but also at the role played by certain teachers, notably Adolphe Chéruel, in the future writer's life, as well as at the readings he was offered.
